Syra Shehroz to play a modern day woman in Chalay Thay Sath

Actress Syra Shehroz, who is the face of AlKaram lawn these days and can be seen across billboards around town, rose to fame with the drama serial Mera Naseeb and since then she has experimented with both television serials and telefilms. In 2016, Shehroz took a leap forward and made her big screen debut with a cameo in Ho Mann Jahaan and now she is all set to star in the upcoming film Chalay Thay Sath in the lead role.

Speaking to Instep, the actress revealed that the film deals with several universal themes.

“The film is about love, loss, family values and friendships,” Shehroz told Instep. “It’s about finding love even when you have lost everything and moving on in life. It’s sort of a journey based in Pakistan that also features the beauty of the country.”

As for her role in the film, Shehroz explained that she is playing the lead character, Resham, around which the story revolves; her life, her father, and her friends. “She is a doctor who is independent, headstrong and confident and knows how to take care of herself,” the actress noted. She also maintained that the character is very close to her personally as it’s been written keeping her in mind and this is what is unique about it.

Another interesting element attached to Chalay Thay Sath is the presence of a Chinese actor who will be playing Sheroz’s love interest in the film. We’re curious.

The shooting for the film is underway and half of it is done. Most of the film has been shot in Hunza. Directed by Umer Adil, the film is slated to release in January 2017.
