KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad has said that he did not congratulate the founder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on the verdict of the money laundering case announced by a London court.

Speaking to the anchorperson on Geo News' program 'Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath', Ebad denied all the accusations leveled against him by Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) chief Mustafa Kamal on Monday.

The Sindh governor said he had no contact with MQM London and if Kamal was tipped about his conversation with London chapter members, then he (Kamal) would himself be in touch with them.

"I did not telephone Iftikhar Qureshi, nor did I tell Mustafa Kamal about my conversation with him," he said, adding if the PSP chief came to know about it, then it must be Qureshi who would have informed him.

Responding to Kamal's allegations of restricting security to PSP and urging raids on its offices, Ishratul Ebad said: "Police and Rangers do not act on my orders. They do not report to me."

Asked about the allegations of having 'properties worth billions of dollars', he said if the PSP chief had any evidences, then he should bring them forth.

Replying to a question about his wish to head PSP, the Sindh governor termed it 'funny' saying that he has not met Mustafa Kamal since his return to country on March 3. "Why would I wish to become guardian of someone who has no wits," he questioned.

Ishratul Ebad said that Kamal was affected with 'bipolar disorder'.

In response to other allegations, he said that Mustafa Kamal had said all what he had to say.

"The money laundering case was dropped by a London court, not me. If people are not joining PSP, I am not a reason for it" the governor said.

All I can do is suggest a good doctor to the PSP chief, he added.
