There will be no dialogue before Islamabad sit-in, says Imran

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Friday there would no dialogue prior to his party’s proposed Islamabad sit-in.

The PTI has announced a sit-in on November 02 in the federal capital over its allegations of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif being involved in the Panama Papers scandal.

Speaking to the media outside his Bani Gala residence, Khan emphasised there was still time for Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to present himself for accountability.

“There is a conspiracy underway to hide the corruption of the Sharif family. They are maligning the country and the Pakistan Army internationally for their own interest. Dialogue will only be held when we arrive in Islamabad on November 2.”

Imran Khan added there was no reason for the Pakistan's Attorney General to argue Prime Minister Sharif’s case pertaining to the Panama Papers in the Supreme Court. “The prime minister should fight his case through a private lawyer.”

Khan said talk of members of banned orgainsations attending the sit-in was a move to bring negative attention on the Pakistan Army and his party.

The PTI chairman spoke of terrorism in Pakistan specifically in Balochistan, Khan said: “We know that India is involved in terrorism, we know of the Altaf Hussain-MQM-RAW connection. We know what was done in Karachi. We demand that their names should also come forward.”

The government has begun contacting political parties to deal with the upcoming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf rally in the capital, sources told Geo News.

Sources added that the Prime Minister had formed a committee and given them separate tasks
