Rana Sanaullah rubbishes Imran Khan's allegations

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah on Sunday rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan's accusations that PML-N leaders were involved in massive corruption through businessman Javed Sadiq.

Earlier today, the PTI chief had alleged that the Pakistani-American businessman was Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif's frontman and had received Rs 15 billion in unlawful commission to date.

But Sanaullah rubbished the allegations. "According to my information, Javed Sadiq is an executive or the chief executive of a Chinese construction company. His company is working on several projects in Pakistan," said the Punjab law minister.

Sanaullah said they would present complete records of any project that PTI chairman claims to have been used in corruption.

"Let Imran name a project, we’ll present its entire record. Shahbaz Sharif has challenged that if there is even Rs15 worth of corruption, then we do not have the right to be in politics. We can even prove savings of billions of rupees in various projects," he said.

When asked if the party would pursue legal action against Khan over the allegations, he said: "Action can be carried out against a sensible person, but somebody who has lost his senses can only be cured by a doctor," he said.
