KARACHI: Pakistan’s two former captains, all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik have reached different career milestones during their respective Bangladesh Premier League matches on Tuesday.

Afridi, with bowling figures of 2 for 30 for Rangpur Riders against Khulna Titans, completed 250 wickets of his Twenty20 career.

Afridi is 4th Pakistani after Yasir Arafat (281), Saeed Ajmal (260) and Azhar Mahmood (258) to reach 250 wickets milestones in T20 cricket.

DJ Bravo of West Indies leads the chart with 353 wickets, Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga is second in the list with 299 wickets, followed by Pakistan’s Yasir Arafat on third position.

In another match, batting for Chittagong Vikings Shoaib Malik scored 63 off 30 deliveries against Barisal Bulls, taking his total T20 runs tally to 6516 runs.

The innings of 63 runs helped Shoaib Malik surpass India’s Virat Kohli and West Indies’ Kieron Pollard to reach the fifth spot in list of players scoring most career runs in T20 cricket.

Malik is leading Pakistani in the list, other players with at least 6500 T20 runs include Chris Gayle (9668 runs), Brad Hodge (7052 runs), Brendon McCullum (6995 runs) and David Warner (6921 runs).
