ISLAMABAD: The body of Asma Adil, one of the two air hostesses who died in yesterday's tragic plane crash, has been handed over to her bereaved relatives.

Authorities handed over Asma's body after identification through DNA test. The victim's body was received by her father-in-law, Muhammad Islam.

So far bodies of three victims of the plane crash have been handed over to their families; however, Asma’s body was the first one to be handed over.

The ill-fated air hostess, like any other morning, had left her two minor children with her in-laws before she left for work early on Wednesday. Little did she know that this would be her last meeting with her children.

She was one of five crew members and 42 passengers on board the ill-fated Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-661, which crashed near the town of Havelian in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa earlier today.

"She was a very good daughter. She took care of everyone in the house. She was my adorable daughter," Asma's father-in-law, who was at home looking after her two children when he received news of the plane crash, told Geo News hours after the tragedy.

He said he had telephoned Asma earlier in the day but could not get through.

"The children were with the grandfather and grandmother. I called her but there was no reply. But after fifteen minutes, I got her message in reply saying 'Thank you Abbu!'," a visibly shattered Muhammad Islam had said as tears rolled down his face.

Asma left behind four-year-old Talha and one-year-old Umme Hani, whose birthday was celebrated two days earlier.
