KARACHI: On the issue of rampant cheating in the exams, the Counter-terrorism Department prepared a report, revealing the culprits and submitted to Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah on Tuesday.

The CTD sources had earlier claimed as well that the officials of the intermediate board are involved with the cheating mafia. However, authorities in the board had dismissed the claims, saying their staff is not involved in the crime.

The 16-page report obtained by Geo News mentioned that 13 teachers, 23 board officials and nine agents were involved.

The report said that employees, lecturers, students, and agents were a part of the scandal.

No arrests have been made so far and media isn't allowed at the examination centres.

The agents would provide funds to the board’s officials.

The CTD had earlier identified the examination centres where the papers would be captured on phone cameras and circulated on WhatsApp groups.

After 15 board papers were leaked in the annual examination of 2017, the Sindh government took action, imposing Section 144 to curb cheating. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah had also visited exam centres to make sure the relevant arrangements were sufficient, but to no avail as the next day cheating and leaking of papers resumed.
