KARACHI: Pakistan’s flamboyant all-rounder and former captain Shahid Afridi added another feather to his cap on Saturday with a four-wicket haul in BPL match.

Playing an important role in Dhaka Dynamites’ win against Rajshahi Kings, Shahid Afridi got four wickets while conceding only 26 runs off his four overs quota.

This was Afridi’s 11th 4-wicket haul of career, the most by any Pakistani cricketer in the shortest format of game. His tally of 11 four-wicket hauls also includes two 5-fers.

Afridi surpassed Yasir Arafat and Umar Gul, both of them have 10 T20 four-wicket hauls.

Shahid Afridi is now one short of joining Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga in the list of most 4-wickets haul by any player in T20. The SL player has four or more wickets to his credit 12 times in his career.

The former Pakistan captain is currently at second place in the list of most 4-wicket hauls, jointly with West Indian Sunil Narine.

With this four-wicket haul, Shahid Afridi’s total T20 wickets tally is now 281, jointly the most by a Pakistani bowler with Yasir Arafat.
