RAWALPINDI: An 11-member team of Pakistan Army has won gold medal in the world’s toughest Cambrian Patrol competition held at Wales, UK, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Friday.

The team comprised soldiers from a battalion of Northern Light Infantry from Gilgit-Baltistan, the ISPR said in a statement.

On the whole, 134 teams from 31 countries participated in the two-weeks-long competition that started on October 8.

Cambrian Patrol is a mission and task-oriented patrolling exercise of 48 hours, the statement read.

The participants cover 60 kilometer distance carrying 25 kilograms during the exercise.
