Geo Super to telecast all matches of Mzansi Super League 2018

KARACHI: Pakistan's first sports channel Geo Super is set to telecast yet another nail-biting Twenty20 tournament, the Mzansi Super League 2018, from Friday night.

The inaugural edition of Cricket South Africa's Mzansi Super League T20 franchise tournament will be held from November 16 to December 16, 2018 in South Africa.

The tournament features some of the biggest names in T20 cricket, including AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, Faf Du Plessis, Chris Gayle, and others.

Six teams will take part to play 32 matches in the tournament, which will have double round-robin and knockout phases.

Cape Town Blitz will host the Spartans on Friday in the opening encounter scheduled to start at 10:00PM.

Geo Super will telecast all MSL 2018 matches live for its Pakistani viewers.

Some of the leading players participating in the tournament include AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Farhaan Behardien, Quinton de Kock, Jason Smith, David Miller, Kagiso Rabada, Faf Du Plessis, Dwayne Bravo, JJ Smuts, Jason Roy, Imran Tahir, Chris Morris, Chris Gayle, Rashid Khan, Pakistan's Asif Ali among others.

The six teams that are participating in the tournament include Cape Town Blitz, Nelson Mandela Bay Giants, Durban Heat, Jozi Stars, Paarl Rocks and Tshwane Spartans.

Every team will play each other twice in the round-robin phase before the playoffs. While the top team would directly qualify for the final on Dec 16, the teams placed second and third will play an eliminator to earn a spot in the final.

The final will be played at the home ground of the team that tops the league.
