Probe of Abt incident to be made public: Firdous

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the government will make public the details of Abbottabad incident after a detailed inquiry and probe, Geo News reported Saturday.

“We will definitely take the nation into confidence and make public the real facts about the incident,” she said.

Talking to Geo News, Firdous said no abrupt statement on the sensitive incident may be issued without ascertaining the facts.

She said that Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir had also briefed media about this incident.

To a question, she said that the Prime Minister would address the nation to take it in confidence on the issue.

She said that all national institutions should work jointly to evolve consensus on national issues.

She said that the Pakistan Army was professionally capable to defend the country.

She said that the Prime Minister’s visit to France would help improve the image of Pakistan.
