Pakistan’s curve of coronavirus cases has sustained an upward trend, notes the World Health Organisation (WHO), as the number of infected in the Sindh and Punjab province surges.

As per the daily situation report of the WHO, dated May 10, the trend of COVID-19 cases in all four provinces, and the federating units, is on an ascending trajectory rather than flattening. “The upward trend in Punjab and Sindh has accelerated from May 1,” states the report.

Both Punjab and Sindh have to date recorded over 11,000 cases.

The report also notes that Pakistan is now recording over 1,700 cases per day, up from 1,000 daily last week.
