Princess Charlene of Monaco was no where to be seen for the royal family's St Patrick's Day celebrations on Thursday.

Charlene, who had been ill for a long time, returned to Monaco days before the big day. She, however, decided to skip the big day for reasons undisclosed.

Her husband, Prince Albert, however ensured that their children Princess Gabriella and Jacques, Hereditary Prince of Monaco spent the day well. The father-of-two took children to the Princess Grace Irish Library.

The family attended the recital given by the students of the Academy of Music and Theater of the Prince Rainier III Foundation of Monaco.

The official Instagram account of the royals shared pictures from the event later in the day.

Jacques and Gabriella donned bright green shirt and dress for the Irish-themed holiday.

"The Prince Sovereign was also able to discover the exhibition of photographs tracing his visit to Ireland in September 2021, which was carried out with Prince Hereditary Jacques and Princess Gabriella."
