Johnny Depp and Amber Heard audio files from former fights were played in Virginia court on Monday.

The estranged partners, who are currently fighting in court, are accusing one another of domestic violence.

When the judge asked Depp if he agreed violence is not just physical, but also emotional, the actor replied: "Sometimes they can flow into one another".

In one of the recordings played for court, Amber was heard criticising someone "putting a cigarette out" on someone else, before Johnny replies to her: "Shut up, fat a**e".

In another clip, Depp is heard saying: "Walking away is necessary... Otherwise it's just going to be a bloodbath... Like it was on the island... It's just not worth it."

Amber then replies: "No one in their right mind is going to chose bloodbath over walking away."

She continued: "I'm not asking you to have a bloodbath over walking away, I'm asking you to work it out over prolonging it and making it bigger."

In a third clip, Amber is heard saying how her relationship with Depp is as toxic as former relationships.

Dep responds: "Because you're a f****** c***."

Depp has sued Amber for a 2018 op-ed she wrote for the Washington Post, alleging being a victim of domestic violence.
