Prince William and Kate Middleton are marking their 11th wedding anniversary, but the picture-perfect couple is always missing one thing – William’s wedding ring.

Royal fans have long wondered why the Duke of Cambridge chooses to not wear his wedding ring and according to OK! Magazine, it is simply because William isn’t one for jewellery.

The outlet quoted an insider at the time who explained why Prince William is never seen with the wedding band he chose for his wedding to Kate.

According to a St James’s aide: “It was something the couple discussed, but Prince William isn’t one for jewellery – he doesn’t even wear a signet ring – and decided he didn’t want to. It really is just down to personal preference.”

Kate and William tied the knot in a grand royal wedding in 2011, which was televised globally and watched by some 300 million across the world.
