ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Saturday said facts and causes of Bhoja plane tragedy were being probed and the findings would be made public.

Talking to media persons at the site of the plane crash in
Hussainabad village, the Information Minister said that an inquiry into
the tragic incident was underway.

Kaira accompanied by Minister for Information Technology Raja Pervez Ashraf and Minister for Environmental Change Rana Farooq Saeed Khan visited the site and also the houses where some wreckage of plane had fallen.

The ministers were briefed about the rescue work and they appreciated the teams of Pak Army, Capital Development Authority, National Disaster Management Authority, Rescue 1122 and others for their efforts.

Kaira lauded the efforts of local people, who despite tough
weather conditions assisted the rescue teams.

He also appreciated the media for prompt reporting with due care.

Replying to a question about Air Blue plane crash, the minister said all facts were made public in that regard and assured that the responsible for this incident would not be spared.

He said that Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani had also visited the hospital to console the bereaved families and directed for a judicial and technical inquiry of the incident.

Responding to a question, Minister for Environmental Change Rana Farooq Saeed Khan said after the detailed investigation, a policy on the basis of weather patterns would be evolved to avoid such incidents in future.

Kaira said there was no substitute for a human life, however, the heirs of the crash victims would be compensated as per procedure. (APP)
