KARACHI: Additional Inspector General (AIG) Sindh, Iqbal Mehmood has said that police had recommended the federal government to impose ban on bike riding till Ashura, Geo News reported.
Talking to media after Karachi Imambargah blast here Sunday, AIG said he had asked Interior Minister for ban on motorcycle riding till Ashura.
Meanwhile, talking to ‘Geo News’ via phone, Inspector General Sindh Police, Fayyaz Laghari said it was a remote-controlled bomb and was planted in a motorcycle in Abbas Town.
He said due to strict security measures at Imambargah, the accused could not reach there and parked the bike near it.
