Matthew Perry’s fans were in absolute shock after hearing news of his death, and his ex-girlfriend Maeve Quinlan also has regrets for not reaching out Mathew before his demise..

Maeve Quinlan, The Bold and the Beautiful actress who dated Mathew from 2002 to 2003, told Soap Opera Digest, “When Matthew and I embarked on a romantic relationship, he was 100 percent sober and was very open about his previous struggles.”

Quinlan, 59 told the digest that they had a strong bond, and said, “That was his one fully sober year, and we were practically inseparable. One of the reasons he liked being with me was that I didn’t do drugs.”

The Friends star and Quinlan's relationship lasted for not more than a year and they eventually became best friends later on, which “morphed into eventually and seamlessly just being best friends, like brother and sister.”

While talking about Perry’s memoir in which he talked about his drug addiction, Quinlan revealed one of her regrets and admitted, “I regret to this day that I did not call Matthew to tell him I was proud of him.”
