KOLKATA: Opener Nasir Jamshed scored a brilliant century in the second One Day International (ODI) being played against India at Eden Gardens.
Jamshed’s century is the second of the ODI series and his third against India.
India won the toss and elected to field against Pakistan in the second ODI. Mohammad Hafeez and Nasir Jamshed guided Pakistan to an opening wicket partnership of 100 runs in the 17th over. Mohammad Hafeez was bowled by Ravindra Jadeja for 76 run s in the 23rd over. Pakistan lost its second wicket as Azhar Ali was run out for 2 runs.
The next wicket to fall was of Younis Khan who was LBW by Suresh Raina after scoring 10 runs in the 34th over.
Captain Misbah-ul-Haq fell LBW to Ashwin for 2 runs. The next wicket to fall was of wicket-keeper Nasir Jamshed who was stumped off a delivery by Jadeja for 106. Kamran Akmal was caught by Sehwag off Jadeja for a duck.
Pakistan leads the series by 1-0 after they defeated India in the first One-day International by six wickets on Sunday.
There was no change in the Pakistan side whereas India made one change, bringing in allrounder Ravindra Jadeja in place of Rohit Sharma. Teams:
