Shahrukh had surrendered to officials at the Pakistani consulate on Monday. Prior to surrendering, in a video message Shahrukh said he would return to Pakistan and prove his innocence.
Other suspects in the case including Siraj Talpur have already been arrested. Shahrukh’s father Sikander Jatoi was arrested from outside the Supreme Court for allegedly helping his son flee the country. Shahzeb Khan was killed on December 25 in the Defence area of Karachi.
