Is Kate Middleton cancer-free as Princess releases new statement? 'relief to now be in remission'

Princess of Wales Kate Middleton made a surprise visit to hospital on Tuesday, where she was treated.

Following her visit to the Royal Marsden, Kate Middleton said, “It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal.”

She continued, “I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.”

Reacting to Kate Middleton’s statement on X, formerly Twitter handle, royal expert Rebecca English tweeted, “The Princess of Wales describes herself as being in remission from cancer for the first time (note that’s not the same as cancer-free, which doctors are reluctant to say).”

In another tweet the royal expert said, “The princess also confirms, as I reported last week, that she is adjusting to a ‘new normal’ for the time being (which means no full return to royal duties) but looks forward to a fulfilling year ahead, nevertheless.”
