KARACHI: Sindh Rangers have arrested nineteen accused and recovered a number of weapons in targeted operations that were conducted in various areas of Karachi, Geo News reported.
According to Rangers spokesman, targeted operations were conducted in Lyari Kehkashan Society, Salar Goth, New Karachi, Sher Shah, Ship-owners roundabout, North Nazimabad, Ranchor Line, Mominabad and Gulzar e Hijri areas of Karachi.
The Rangers also raided on the hideouts of wanted criminal in Lyari gang-war Baba Ladla, Zahid Ladla and Faisal Pathan and arrested nine accused, while Kalashnikov, hand grenade, rocket launcher and other 28 types of weapons were also seized from accused possession.
Ten suspects were taken in custody along with various types of weapons from New Karachi, Sher Shah, Ship-owners roundabout, Ranchor Line, Mominabad and Gulzar e Hijri.
On the other hand, two accused, affiliated with proscribed organization TTP Wali ur Rehman Group were arrested by police from Quetta town area of Sohrab Goth, recovering MP-5 riffle, SMG, Kalashnikov and a water cooler bomb.
