Meghan Markle never truly wanted a quiet life after leaving the Royal family, a royal expert has made shocking remarks against the Duchess of Sussex.
According to royal commentator Jane Barr, the Duchess of Sussex hoped to use her royal title to become a global superstar.
Since Prince Harry and Meghan quit royal duties in 2020 and moved to the United States, they have stayed in the public eye.
The California-based Royals have made several high-profile appearances, including a Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, that revealed personal details about their royal life.
Meghan’s latest project, With Love, Meghan, and podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, also keeps her in the spotlight.
Writing on the matter in her newsletter From Berkshire to Buckingham, Barr wrote that Meghan would not have been happy living a low-key life like Prince Harry’s cousins.
She added that Meghan saw herself on the world stage, using her HRH title to build a powerful public image.
“She [Meghan] would not have been happy with the ultimately quiet or truly independent/non-royal lives that William and Harry's cousins actually live,” she penned.
“Looking back to Megxit, Harry was not just the grandson of the Queen, the same relationship all his cousins had to the sovereign, he was the son of the future King,” the expert shared.
She concluded, "Meghan wanted to take her HRH and her title and be a superstar in her own sphere on the international stage.”
This comes after Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, appeared for a candid interview on The Jamie Kern Lima Show when host Jamie Kern Lima flaunted the gift basket she got from the Duchess.
The gift containing homemade strawberry sauce and ice cream had a card which was signed “With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex.”
The Sussexes had an agreement made when she and Harry stepped back from royal duties to not use their HRH title.
