Amy Schumer reportedly faced criticism for failing to meet fans’ expectations for her latest Netflix comedy movie, Kinda Pregnant.
However, a recent report from Life & Style dished that the comedian is looking at the bright side and is hopeful for a career comeback.
Speaking of this movie, she said in a recent chat with Audacy, “We’re trying to show these different aspects of like, not every woman who gets pregnant is over the moon the whole time.”
The actress continued to dish about the main theme of her movie by saying, “The trauma [of pregnancy and birth] get just kind of brushed over — especially in movies — you really don’t see very much of that, so to get to take a minute and express that stuff in a comedy and make it palatable where you can still be on this ride — that is what we’re most proud of.”
Amid the recent lash out, she has been leaning on her close pals to keep her going and her close friend circle also included none other than The Hunger Games’ hitmaker, Jennifer Lawrence.
“She hasn't seen a lot of people drop out of her orbit in the 10 years since she broke through to the big leagues in 2015,” an insider said of Amy and claimed, “ Jen Lawrence is still one of her best friends.”
“And even though Nikki Glaser has become a major star in her own right, she has also stayed incredibly loyal to Amy and has become one of her biggest defenders in Hollywood,” the source concluded.
