Jackie Chan has made a shocking confession about filming 1998 Rush Hour.

While appearing on The Kelly Clarkson Show, he candidly discussed his experience of filming the original Rush Hour.

“The whole movie, I don’t know what Chris Tucker’s saying,” The Karate Kid admitted. “Not a clue.”

Recalling his struggle to understand English, Chan continued, “My dialogue coach sits right behind the camera. Every scene, every shot, different dialogue."

Referring to Chris Tucker’s fast-paced English, he noted that there were times "I asked my dialect coach, ‘What did he say?’ He speaks so fast!”

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong actor revealed that he learnt English by listening to country songs.

Its pertinent to mention that the original Rush Hour grossed a total of $224 million on $35 million budget.

In an interview with Buzzfeed, he ranked the buddy cop action-comedy trilogy and said, “I don't know. You know what, the first one: little money, little time. We shot it like, ‘Go, go, go, go!’”

“The second one: a lot of money, a lot of time. The third one: too much money, too much time. Too much money is no good," the 71-year-old actor concluded.

For those unversed, in 2022, Jackie Chan had confirmed that Rush Hour 4 was in process.
