King Charles continues to perform royal duties as he cancer treatment continues

In a big show of support arts, King Charles made a surprise appearance at SXSW London on Thursday.

Sharing multiple pictures of the monarch, the royal family's Instagram account said, "Hosted for the first time in Europe, The King has visited SXSW London, a culture, technology and creativity festival in Shoreditch, East London.

"Originating in Austin, Texas, the festival aims to serve as a platform to showcase the future of the creative industries, supporting emerging artists and innovative projects," said the statement issued by the royal family.

"Before departing, His Majesty popped into Old Spitalfields Market to meet locals and speak to stallholders working the market’s ‘Antiques Thursday’," the statement quoted the king as saying.

King Charles continues to attend royal duties amid his cancer treatment showing no signs of slowing down.

The British monarch was diagnosed with an unspecified form of cancer last year.

Charles' daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, was also diagnosed with cancer in 2024.

The wife of Prince William is making a gradual to royal duties after she completed her chemotherapy.
