Prince Andrew reportedly has a quiet role behind-the-scenes at the Palace even though he has stepped back from public royal duties following multiple scandals, including sexual assault allegations.

According to latest report, the “disgraced” Duke of York still maintains a discreet presence within royal circles and has a “part to play.”

An insider told Daily Mail that Andrew continues to be quietly involved behind the scenes as he often attends private royal lunches.

They revealed that the Duke occasionally helping entertain guests when senior royals are unavailable despite being excluded from high-profile events like the Garter parade and Royal Ascot.

Writing for the publication, Ephraim Hardcastle penned, “My source whispers that Andrew is sometimes on hand to help entertain guests, especially on days when other royals are thin on the ground, although dressed in his best bib and tucker he isn't allowed to join them on the course.”

“At least he is spared the washing up,” he added.

Andrew still resides at Royal Lodge with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, despite Charles reported attempts to have hum removed and shift to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s former residence, the Frogmore Cottage.
