King Charles may accept his “darling boy” Prince Harry’s invitation to the 2027 Invictus Games, set to take place at Birmingham.

A new report has revealed that the Duke of Sussex has “agreed” to extend invitation for the games to the monarch and his brother, Prince William.

While it is not confirmed if the invitation would be sent to the members of the Royal family, a royal expert has revealed that if Harry does invite Charles, he is expected to accept the invitation.

Speaking on the matter, royal expert Ingrid Seward said that King Charles “might attend to show support for the Armed Forces and congratulate Harry on the most significant success in his life.”

"The only reason the King is wary of associating with his son is that he no longer trusts him not to repeat their private conversations as he has done in the past.

“This goes for all the working members of the family," she added, per The Mirror.

A latest report by Mail on Sunday revealed that the Duke of Sussex is ready to take the first step to mend bond with his family as he has “agreed” to invite them to 2027 Invictus Games.

"Invictus hopes the royal family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part. Harry is hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans," the source added.

"The royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him which might be reciprocated," they added.

However, a spokesman for Invictus shared with the publication, "No formal invitations have been issued as preparations are in the early stages."
