Ryan Reynolds has just made a rare comment on her wife, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni’s legal battle.
While appearing on TIME100 Companies for an interview, the Deadpool actor candidly discussed how the law has impacted his business.
“Accessibility and accountability are a big part of how I do things,” the Hollywood actor began by saying.
In January 2025, Baldoni filed a $400 million lawsuit against Reynolds and Lively for civil extortion and defamation, which was dismissed by a judge in June.
Referring to his business partner of Wrexham A.F.C, Aviation American Gin, Mint Mobile, and Maximum Effort, he continued, “The people that I work with know me, so there’s never a question of anything like that.”
“If you operate with some degree of core values and integrity, they’re going to help you up. If you’re an a******, they’re not. And that’s pretty simple.”
“I can read something that says, ‘He should be drawn and quartered.’ I could read something that says I should win a Nobel Prize. Both are meaningless."
Before concluding, the noted, "None of us are comprised of our best moments. None of us are defined by our worst moments. We are something in the middle.”
The legal dispute between It Ends with Us co-stars is scheduled to go on trial on March 9, 2026.
