Katy Perry breaks silence after Orlando Bloom breakup news

Katy Perry has dropped a carousel of photos on Instagram.

Amid the news of her split from fiance Orlando Bloom, the singer took to her social media handle and shared a series of photos on Friday.

The pictures were from her day at Rottnest Island in Australia. In the photos the Katy can be seen smiling as she poses with quokka.

The songstress also included a clip of herself surrounded by birds on the beach and a snap of her and Orlando’s daughter Daisy Dove.

In the caption, Katy wrote, “mood: Quokka.”

This marks the singer’s first post since the news of her split from fiance Orlando.

An insider confirmed to People Magazine recently that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who share a daughter Daisy Dove together, have called off their engagement.

The source stated that Katy is aiming for a “postive” co-parenting relationship with Orlando. The insider said, “Katy has every intention of maintaining a positive and respectful relationship with Orlando. He's the father of their daughter and that will always come first for her.”

“They've been through a lot together and while they've decided to go their separate ways, there's still a mutual respect between them,” the source added.
