Katy Perry cried ahead of her split from Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry could not control her emotions and cried on stage as she sang about wounded romance ahead of her breakup from Orlando Bloom.

For the unversed, speculations surfaced on Wednesday, June 25, that the 40-year-old American singer-songwriter and her beau have parted ways following a nine-year romantic fling in which they welcomed their daughter, Daisy, who is four now.

Notably, Bloom’s solo trip to Venice to attend the extravagant wedding celebrations of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez added weight to the speculations.

The 48-year-old actor apparently looked happy, enjoying time with the Kardashians, boating with Tom Brady and getting a chance to have a pep talk from Oprah Winfrey while Perry is currently in Australia for her Lifetimes Tour.

However, a clip from the start of April this year went viral on social media in which the Firework songstress can be seen fighting some private battle onstage as she sang through her tears, delivering a rendition of Pearl, a 2010 track of hers, which has a theme of stepping out of a strained relationship.

At one moment, Perry, swamped with emotions, pulled the microphone away from her mouth and sang the lyrics screamingly: “I let him rule my world!”

But the Roar hitmaker succeeded in gathering herself for the next line and sang, “But I woke up and grew strong, and I can still go on and no one can take my pearl.”

It is pertinent to mention that Katy Perry started her Lifetimes Tour in Mexico City this April and will conclude it on December 7, 2025.
