A royal expert has claimed that while Prince Harry’s recent message of reconciliation has brought a sense of hope within the Royal family.
However, it is uncertain if Prince William would want the Duke of Sussex to be a part of the monarchy once he becomes King, per a royal expert.
Speaking with The Mirror, royal correspondent Jennie Bond William is likely to make some difficult decisions about who will support him when he takes over the throne.
She claimed that William already knows who he can count on but his brother Harry won’t be one of them.
"William has always thought carefully about his future. He’s already picturing who he'll rely upon when his time as King comes,” the expert told the publication.
"Harry would have played a significant part in William’s reign. He was his wingman, the trusted sibling William could rely on."
"This estrangement is a great loss for William. Harry would have been his main confidant, someone he could genuinely depend upon."
The publication claimed that William is "deeply saddened" on his current feud with Harry, but he has moved forward in life.
"William is pragmatic and understands the reality. It's heartbreaking, but he recognises he must move forward for the good of the institution,” Bond said.
In a recent interview with BCC, Harry said that he would “love” reconciling with the Royal family, adding, "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious."
While Harry’s “recent gestures are hopeful,” Bond said “the reality is complicated,” adding, “William seems to have made peace with moving on without Harry's involvement."
