Prince Andrew may soon return to international travel after the FBI ended its investigation into his ties with Jeffrey Epstein.
No charges were filed against the “disgraced” Duke of York or other high-profile figures, as per report by The Express.
Andrew, who has denied all wrongdoing and settled a civil case without admitting guilt, has mostly stayed at Royal Lodge in Windsor for six years due to fear of arrest abroad.
Now, a friend of Andrew has split to The Sun that the Duke is now free to travel anywhere he wants.
"He has been abroad once since the scandal erupted. But without the FBI investigation hanging over his head he will feel it’s safe to travel,” they said.
"Hopefully with this out of the way it means he can at least leave the country."
In a conversation with Newsweek, royal biographer Nigel Cawthorne said that the father-of-two could now take a sigh of relief.
"He's off the hook isn't he. The whole thing's run out of steam,” the expert said.
