Lisa teams up with Don Lee, Lee Jin-uk for Netflix's next big action ride

BLACKPINK Lisa has recently stepped into a new chapter of her career as Netflix revealed Tygo, a film that quietly grew into one of the most talked about additions to the Extraction universe.

The announcement placed the 28-year-old music icon beside two major Korean actors, Don Lee and Lee Jin uk, who brought their own weight and history into the project.

The film, however, came together through a mix of global and Korean teams who spent years shaping the idea.

It was based on a graphic novel created by Anthony and Joe Russo with Ande Parks, yet the new movie carried a tone that reflected Korean action cinema more than anything else.

Producers from both sides worked together as the story moved from page to screen.

At the centre was Tygo, played by Don Lee, a man who carried memories from a violent childhood and a life spent in dangerous work.

When a mission fell apart, he returned to Korea and stepped back into a world that once controlled him. 

Moreover, the script writer Cha Woo jin gave the character a quiet storm that director Lee Sang yong used to build the mood of the film.

While praising her new role and journey, Lisa shared that she feels lucky to join such incredible team and that making an action film was her dream that she held for years.

Don Lee further said that the project lived with him for a long time and he felt proud to finally move it forward. Whereas, Lee Jin uk shared that joining the Extraction universe felt really special, especially alongside such iconic actors that he admires.

As the Extraction films continued to bring in huge global numbers, Tygo prepared to add a new story to the growing universe.
