Al Pacino stepped out in Los Angeles this week wearing what looked like a wedding band — but despite the speculation it sparked, the actor is not married.
People magazine confirmed the 85-year-old star has not tied the knot. “Al Pacino is not married,” a representative for the actor said.
Pacino, attending an event for Leonardo DiCaprio’s One Battle After Another on Thursday, Dec. 4, posed for photos alongside DiCaprio, 51, Teyana Taylor and other guests.
The gold band on his finger quickly caught attention, prompting online rumours. In one shot, Pacino smiled with his arm wrapped around DiCaprio; in another with Taylor, 34, he lifted a drink, again showing the ring prominently.
Over the years, Pacino has been linked to several well-known partners, including Beverly D’Angelo, Tuesday Weld, Jill Clayburgh and the late Diane Keaton. His most recent relationship was with Noor Alfallah, with whom he shares his youngest son, Roman, born in June 2023.
In October 2024, the actor’s rep clarified their current status: “Al and Noor are very good friends, have been for years, and are co-parents to their son Roman.”
Pacino is also father to three adult children: daughter Julia with acting coach Jan Tarrant, and twins Anton and Olivia with D’Angelo, 74.
Marriage has come up before in Pacino’s interviews. In 2015, he told the Boston Herald, “Of course, it's possible [I'll get married]. It seems beside the point, though. I have no idea, but I never say never.” The legendary actor has long kept his private life low-key, once telling Larry King he considers himself “shy.”
With the latest outing, Pacino proved that even a simple accessory can ignite headlines — though this time, the ring wasn’t signaling a trip down the aisle.
