Gordon Ramsay's new bold comment has sparked debate among fans, who believe it could 'break his parents hearts.'

The celebrity chef's daughter, Holly Ramsay recently tied the knot with the Olympian Adam Peaty, 31, at Bath Abbey on December 27.

Saying ‘I do’ at Bath Abbey, Adam and Holly, disinvited all of his family – including his once-beloved mother Caroline – aside from his sister Bethany, who was a bridesmaid.

After the wedding, the couple jetted off on their honeymoon and continued to share pre and post-wedding snaps to social media.

Now, Gordon's comment on Adam's latest post has ignited fresh discussion among keyboard warriors.

Under the post, Gordon commented: 'Beautiful love you both Dad @hollyramsaypeaty @adamramsaypeaty.'

While some fans viewed the comment as a warm gesture, others felt Gordon's use of the 'Dad' was inappropriate and claimed it was a dig at Adam's estranged parents.

One wrote: 'You keep on making Adam's parents upset.'

Another commented: 'Gordon, you must think how you would feel if you were not invited to your son's wedding.'

The Sun reported that in his father of the bride speech Gordon commented on how beautiful Holly looked and told Adam he was a 'lucky man', adding: 'Look at Tana and that's what you have to look forward to.'

The publication went on to claim that Gordon couldn't resist a sly dig at Adam's absent parents he told his daughter Holly: 'Shame you don't have the same.'

It was later revealed that Adam's estranged mother, Caroline, was left 'outraged' by Gordon's comments.
