Hollywood is mourning the loss of Barbara Lawrence who was the veteran talent agent who guided some of the industry’s biggest names.

The 82-year-old died of natural causes on January 2 while on holiday in Manhattan, her family confirmed.

Lawrence began her career in the 1970s at the Abrams‑Rubaloff Agency, where she met her future husband, Richard Lawrence.

The two married in 1972 and later ran their own management firm, which became Rebel Entertainment Partners in 2004.

Over the decades, Lawrence became a pivotal figure behind the scenes.

As per The Express, she represented stars such as Avengers actor Chris Evans, Emmy winner Rue McClanahan of The Golden Girls, and Alan Rachins of L.A. Law and Dharma & Greg.

Her influence extended beyond her client list.

Lawrence was known for her sharp instincts and dedication to her talent and often played a crucial role in shaping careers.

When McClanahan passed away in 2010, it was Lawrence who informed the press which highlights her trusted position in Hollywood circles.

Lawrence’s family remains deeply connected to the entertainment industry.

Her husband Richard continued working as an agent and served on the board of the Association of Talent Agents.

Their eldest son, Seth Lawrence, has a job at Independent Artist Group while her younger son, Evan Lawrence, works in concert touring and event production.
