Cary Elwes is still having a hard time accepting the death of director and good friend, Rob Reiner.
The 63-year-old English actor worked with the late filmmaker in 1987 family comedy movie titled, The Princess Bride.
Cary developed a good bond with Rob during the film, and it grew stronger in so many years, eventually leaving former devastated with the news of latter’s death.
The Saw actor recently appeared for a chat with CNN where he was asked to share his fondest memory with Reiner.
He opened by saying, “It was a terrible shock to us. We also became very close to Rob and his wife Michelle and his family. It’s still devastating. I’m still trying to process.”
Cary revealed, “One of my favourite memories with Rob was he used to say to me often before, ‘you go, remember to have fun’ and that’s just essence of who he was… he was all about the joy. Not only a talented artist, but a sweet guy and very gentle.
“I miss him dearly and I had so much to learn from him”, concluded Elwes.
Reiner and his wife were found dead in their LA home on December 14. They had stab wounds on their bodies when the authorities examined them.
