Jenny McCarthy is finally finding relief after months of unexplained infections, eye growths, and tooth decay.
The actress and TV personality says her “living hell” was caused by toxic mold, a diagnosis that came only after multiple surgeries and failed treatments.
The 53-year-old opened up on the March 31 episode of Heal Squad, detailing how her health spiraled after an infected root canal last year.
What began as jawbone infections soon spread to her eyes, leading to repeated surgeries and alarming symptoms she described as “oozing” and “growths that looked like pus-filled erasers.”
Doctors initially struggled to pinpoint the cause, but in December her longtime physician tested her for mold exposure.
The results revealed she was suffering from mycotoxin poisoning, a condition that can overwhelm the immune system and hide in the gut and nasal passages.
“The reason why you’re having constant infections, your body won’t heal, you’re oozing things, is because you have mold,” McCarthy recalled her doctor saying.
Since January, she has been undergoing an intensive mold protocol that includes nasal sprays, dozens of supplements, and extracorporeal blood oxygenation and ozonation (EBOO), a treatment that filters and reoxygenates blood outside the body.
McCarthy expects the regimen to last at least a year.
Despite the grueling process, she says the diagnosis brought relief.
“I also felt relieved because I also knew why,” she explained.
