Justin Bieber's recent Coachella performance took fans down the memory lane as they celebrated his younger self, along with theirs, and that happened for Olivia Rodrigo as well.
The 23-year-old pop superstar took to social media and participated in the Hallelujah trend which began going viral since the Grammy winner's Coachella headline show.
In Rodrigo's version, she lip-synced Hallelujah from Bieber's stripped-down performance to promote her limited-edition Drop Dead / Chewing Gum vinyl, which is exclusively available at independent record stores.
The drivers license hitmaker wrote over the video, "i might drop dead hallelujah, chewing gum hallelujah, pisces and a gemini hallelujah, taking the eurostar to france hallelujah, stalking you on the internet hallelujah," quoting lyrics from her song Drop Dead.
Rodrigo also fangirled over the Bieber performance in a new interview, saying, "I watched Bieber, who was just epic. I loved it when he sang Baby, I think I lost my mind right there."
The GUTS songstress continued, I thought it was so beautiful the way he used the laptop, it almost felt like a tribute to his own past, as if he was putting the 'younger me' on the screen. And then seeing him in real life, so happy, was really powerful. I loved it."
