After years of very public family tension, Miley Cyrus just gave fans a full-circle Hollywood moment – complete with tears, gratitude and a subtle nod to dad Billy Ray Cyrus.

While accepting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 22, the former Hannah Montana star had her inner circle cheering her on, including mom Tish Cyrus, sister Brandi Cyrus and fiancé Maxx Morando.

Missing from the crowd? Billy Ray. Still, Miley made sure he had a place in the speech anyway.

“My dad used to say that a skyscraper starts with a jackhammer, so does a star on the Walk of Fame, by the way,” Miley joked. “And it's not about the force, but it's about the repetition.”

Classic Miley: a little wisdom, a little chaos, somehow inspirational.

The Flowers hitmaker, 33, later got emotional while reflecting on the people who stuck beside her through every career era, hairstyle and headline.

“This is where it gets me,” she admitted while fighting back tears. “To my family, my future family, my parents, my mom, my siblings, my friends, my collaborators: Thank you for loving and supporting not only the choices that I make, but my fears, and then facing them with me.”

And yes, the fans got their flowers too.

“To my fans, you are the stars that make my dream a reality every day through your love and your support,” Miley said, hoping her music continues to leave behind something “raw and imperfect and sexy and glamorous and joyful.”

Honestly, not a bad legacy to crave into Hollywood forever.
