King Charles and Harry met for less than an hour. The father-son duo's emotional meeting reportedly included hugs, tears and heartfelt conversation, raising fresh hopes that one of the most painful rifts in modern royal history may finally be beginning to heal.

Undoubtedly, the meeting marked a turning point after years of silence, distance and headlines following Harry and his wife Meghan Markle's departure from royal duties in 2020, television interviews, the publication of the Duke's memoir Spare and ongoing disagreements over family matters.

According royal sources, the reunion unleashed a torrent of emotion that had been building behind the scenes for years.

The two reportedly had tears in their eyes as they expressed their feelings after such a prolonged period of distance.
