Prince Harry rushes out after facing rejection in uneasy encounter

Prince Harry had made an unexpected visit to San Antonio on Saturday evening to watch the New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs game.

The Duke of Sussex was reportedly given an invitation from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver for the big game as Harry was already in town for another engagement.

Many other A-list celebrities were also in attendance at the game. However, Harry was seen rushing out of the game after he seemed to have faced an awkward encounter with American filmmaker and actor Shelton Jackson ‘Spike’ Lee.

As Harry was passing by, Spike Lee was seen pointing at Harry. But when Harry moved forward to shake his hands, Spike dismissed the gesture and was instead telling him something, which did not seem to be in a friendly tone.

The King’s younger son then ended the exchange and then moved forward.

There has been no official response from either of the parties about the exchange, however, Page Six pointed out that this could date back to a tiff the two may have had over a social media incident. It also involved Prince William.

When Harry was dating then-girlfriend Chelsy Davy, he had a secret Facebook account under the alias Spike Wells, which Lee has spoken about publicly.

The director had sent Prince William a “message” in 2019 about it: “I asked his brother to find out! When I know, you’ll know!”
