Beatrice, Eugenie turn deaf ear to Prince William message: Bold step

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie paid no heed to Prince William's efforts to do an "ethics check" of their finances.

Recently, the York sisters landed in another big controversy after the National Audit Office revealed that they did not pay rent to their royal properties. It was being cleared by King Charles.

For the unversed, Beatrice enjoys private apartment life at St James's Palace in central London. Whereas, Eugenie has Ivy Cottage in Kensington Palace.

The Daily Mail reported that the sisters seemingly rejected the future King's offer, who is in favour of a "clean break" between those members of the firm living in royal properties.

It was also reported that King Charles offered the Princesses "services of a senior advisor" in order to protect their public's standing.

But, Eugenie, who is "known to be very fond" of her Kensington Palace house, "does not want to go..."

The source said, "...although the option of paying the rent herself, with the amount made public, has been put on the table."

"William would prefer that a clean break be made and that she move out of the royal gated community," an insider added.
