Princess Kates steely reaction ensures protesters dont overshadow major event

The Princess of Wales remained composed as anti-monarchy protesters attempted to disrupt Trooping the Colour, with Catherine refusing to let the demonstration overshadow one of the Royal Family's most important events of the year.

Travelling through central London in a carriage alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, the Princess appeared unfazed as members of the anti-monarchy group Republic staged a protest along the route.

Demonstrators unfurled umbrellas spelling out the slogan "Stop The Reign" and chanted "Not my King" and "Not my Queen" as the royal procession made its way towards Buckingham Palace for the King's official birthday celebrations.

Despite the disruption, she maintained her focus on the day's proceedings, continuing to wave and acknowledge well-wishers who had gathered in large numbers to celebrate the occasion.

Supportive cheers from royal fans could also be heard along the route, creating a festive atmosphere for the annual ceremony.

Once at Horse Guards Parade, the Princess of Wales joined King Charles and Queen Camilla on the royal dais to watch the military spectacle, while her three children enjoyed a privileged view from first floor window overlooking the parade ground.
