A behind-the-scenes video shared by the Red Arrows offered royal fans a rare glimpse into the precision and preparation behind one of the most anticipated moments of Trooping the Colour - the spectacular flypast over central London in honour of His Majesty the King.
In the footage posted on Instagram, the display team could be seen preparing their aircraft and briefing pilots before taking to the skies, with Buckingham Palace visible in the distance as the capital braced for the dramatic aerial finale.
The video captioned the moment as a look “behind-the-scenes of the Red Arrows’ flypast above London for His Majesty The King’s Official Birthday.”
As the flypast concluded and the Royal Family’s balcony appearance came to an end, crowds began to slowly disperse from The Mall, marking the close of this year’s Trooping the Colour celebrations.
The annual ceremony, which marks the Sovereign’s official birthday, is traditionally scheduled in June in the hope of more favourable weather and this year certainly delivered.
The culmination of the day came at Buckingham Palace, where the King and Queen were joined by senior members of the Royal Family on the iconic balcony to watch the Red Arrows streak across the sky in formation.
Among the standout moments was young Prince Louis, who once again captured public attention as he leaned away from his siblings during the flypast, watching the jets with unmistakable awe.
