Princess Diana's sons always remain the heartbeat of every royal moment. The two royals' brotherhood, in harmony or in heartbreak, captures the world’s gaze.
The Duke of Sussex, who's currently expected to travel to the UK in just a few weeks, returns to the spotlight with his Montecito family amid speculation of their reunion with King Charles and other royals.
However, insiders claim the divide between the two brothers has become even more entrenched. Behind closed doors, Harry is said to have voiced serious doubts about William's leadership.
One Source claimed the Duke believes the public has a very different perception of the future British monarch, Prince William, than the man he knows privately.
‘Harry is very snarky about William, he thinks he's drooling over the power and going to be a total nightmare once he gets it. He says people don't know the real William the way he does and once they see the truth they'll be shocked,’ the source told Closer.
They added: "He is not shy about saying that William doesn't have the temperament to be King. He says he's too vindictive and cruel to be a good ruler, not to mention incredibly stubborn and hot headed.
"Everyone knows William likes being in charge but struggles when things don't go his way, he's been that way since they were kids, very touchy and quick to explode, according to Harry."
The reported comments come as the Sussexes are planning to return to the Uk after King Charles' offer to stay at the royal residence.
Although Charles remains firmly on the throne, royal observers have noted that the Prince of Wales has become increasingly influential behind Palace walls
Earlier this year, reports suggested Charles had ignored William's advice regarding an overseas visit during is on-going treatment, fuelling fresh speculation about occasional differences in opinion between father and son.
Those claims followed suggestions that the King had wanted to remind his heir that ultimate authority still rests with the monarch.
With William said to remain deeply upset by Harry's interviews, memoir and repeated public comments about family life, trust between the pair is believed to be virtually non-existent.
Now the insider adds, ‘For his little brother to be knocking him down and making these snipes is pretty infuriating. A lot of people say it's one of the reasons William is so down on Harry, he doesn't trust him not to speak badly about him when his back is turned.
‘In his view his loose lips only prove what bitter troublemaker he really is. William has a lot of confidence in his ability to lead the country when the time comes, he's been preparing his entire life so Harry's criticism isn't shaking him, he has no worries about what he will be like as a King.’
