Miley Cyrus' ex Cody Simpson suffers shocking health setback

Miley Cyrus' former boyfriend Cody Simpson has shared some sad news with fans.

The singer said two unexpected injuries have left him unable to walk or talk for now, forcing him to delay his music comeback.

Cody explained that his problems started after he injured one of his vocal cords while recording new songs.

He spent months hoping that it would heal, but doctors later told him he needed surgery.

Just before the operation, things got even worse. Cody dislocated his knee while practising for a new music video.

Because of that injury, his vocal cord surgery had to be delayed.

Sharing an update on Instagram, he wrote, “The universe is serving it to me this year."

He also revealed how much his daily life has changed, saying, “I can't walk or talk for some time now, and no singing or dancing for months to come."

The injuries, however, have forced Cody to put his new album and live shows on hold for now.

Even so, he told fans that he is staying positive and got no plans to quit just yet.

“The album and live shows have to wait, but I've got some work to share while I'm down for the count. You can't hold me down! I'll be back stronger," he wrote.

The setback came after Cody ended his Olympic swimming dream and decided to focus on music again.
