King Charles’ team issued a major update after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s clever UK plot took toll on the royals.

On June 30, the official social media channels of the royal family released photos from the royal family's key ceremony attended by the monarch.

According to the king’s office, he attended the historic Ceremony of the Keys in the Gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

This tradition is centuries-old, marking Edinburgh’s welcome to its monarch.

“The Lord Provost presents the Keys of the City to His Majesty, who then returns them for safekeeping. Today, the Guard of Honour was provided by Balaklava Company, 5th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland,” the statement reads.

While sharing details about the music provided at the ceremony, the monarch’s spokesperson said that The Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland and Pipes and Drums of the 2nd Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland did the honours.

It is pertinent to note that King Charles began his Scottish tour amid the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s UK storm.

In the latest message, Harry, via his spokesperson, shared that he is trying his best to take some key security measures and give Archie and Lilibet the opportunity to enjoy the U.K.
