Prince Harry appears to be torn between an important decision that he has to take for his family as time is running out on his forthcoming visit to the UK.
What was supposed to be a delightful visit to conduct meaningful activities for his passion project Invictus Games and witness the reunion of King Charles with his grandchildren has been turned into a major PR drama.
While it was initially confirmed that Meghan and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will be travelling with Harry to his home country, but due to the security issue, the visit remains uncertain.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, the situation has turned “chaotic” and it is all the doing of the Sussexes.
Harry has been waiting for a decision on his police protection for six months after he renewed his application with the UK Home Office. However, RAVEC has still not reviewed it.
Hence, the PR back-and-forth has made matters messy and they have yet to respond to the King’s offer for royal accommodation.
Harry is “desperately” looking for a solution and is exploring options of what could be done. One of the solutions presented is that Harry could fly out Meghan and his two children just for the day in a last-ditch attempt to navigate his tricky security concerns.
The royal expert said that security has “always been a red line for him after the tragic death of his mother”.
He explained that “the fault here is that the Sussexes have planned this so publicly” despite the deep-rooted rift.
The couple are “not trusted” by the royals but they are “high-profile people in the world and there have been threats including Harry’s female stalker”.
However, Harry will somehow find a solution as he is determined to take this trip with his family.
